The idea of creating a beautiful, feminine caftan came to me during the long months of Covid. I wanted to make something that was flattering, easy to wear, and most importantly, something that inspired me to get out of my sweat pants!
I have worked tirelessly with a pattern maker to create my own pattern which comes in 4 sizes and two lengths. I searched for beautiful fabrics and found them in Belgium. My caftans are made of paisleys, linens, cottons, gauze, and custom embroidery. I am especially proud that these garments are ethically sewn by women in the heart of Chicago.
As a photographer, I have always strived to find beauty in the world around me. My caftan project is an extension of my work as an image-maker. It has been my humble goal to try and create something beautiful that is tangible and, hopefully, enhances the beauty of the women wearing them.
